Job Overview –Electrical Field Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Field Electrical / Service Engineer to handle complete project execution and service support across our Solar and UPS system divisions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in solar power systems, Vertiv UPS systems, and batteries, ensuring timely project completion, reliable preventive maintenance (PM), and efficient service delivery. This role requires hands-on technical work, problem-solving skills, and frequent visits to client locations to ensure the smooth functioning of equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of Vertiv UPS, Systems and batteries at customer sites in the Chennai region.
• Install, test, and commission UPS systems, batteries, and other related electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to UPS units and batteries, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Provide on-site technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring they receive optimal performance from their equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and attend to unscheduled repairs when required.
• Collaborate with the sales and service teams to ensure smooth coordination for installations and repairs.
• Train customers on the safe operation and maintenance of their UPS systems and batteries.
• Ensure all work is done in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools required for service tasks.
